Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
The short version: Chess Clock does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs.
Data we collect
None. Chess Clock does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information, and it does not contain analytics or tracking of any kind. We have no servers and receive nothing from the app.
Data stored on your device
The time controls you save, and whether you have left a tip, are stored locally on your device so the app remembers them between launches. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. Deleting the app removes it.
Network access
The app works entirely offline and makes no network requests of its own. The one exception is if you choose to leave a tip: that purchase is handled by Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never see or receive your payment details — Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
Children's privacy
Chess Clock is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Third parties
We do not share data with third parties, because we do not collect any. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
